Our Story: Over 35 Years of Caring for Heber City’s Children

Back to Basics Preschool and Daycare Center was founded over 35 years ago by Becky Johnson, a lifelong resident of Heber City with a deep love for her community and a passion for early childhood education. Born and raised in Heber City, Becky recognized a need for a family-oriented childcare option where children could learn, grow, and feel safe. She opened Back to Basics with the vision of creating a welcoming environment where children are treated like family and given the tools to build a strong foundation for their future.

Since its founding, Back to Basics has grown into a beloved staple in the Heber City community, serving generations of families with the same care and dedication that Becky envisioned from the start. What began as a small neighborhood daycare has flourished into a trusted preschool and daycare center, offering a range of programs that support children from infancy through school age.
